In early 2007, Niagara Falls Tourism had a website but had little traffic because the organization hadn’t optimized or promoted the website. In fact, they were barely on the map – with very few pages indexed in the search engines and poor keyword rankings.
Solution:
ACOC was tasked with creating an online presence for www.niagarafallstourism.com. We developed a comprehensive strategy comprised primarily of keyword strategies, web page optimization, and content syndication. Additionally, ACOC wrote and optimized the site’s content (the site has a 21% bounce rate now, which is among the very lowest). Over the course of the past year-and-a-half, ACOC has executed a thorough organic search program for Niagara Falls Tourism, providing highly strategic editorial calendars and generating most of the organization’s online content for syndication.
Result:
In less than one year, ACOC brought Niagara Falls Tourism from no online presence to ranking #1 in Google for the term “Niagara Falls,” which receives nearly 2 million searches per month. In addition, the www.niagarafallstourism.com website has doubled its traffic and is now indexing for all highly searched Niagara related keywords. Niagarafallstourism.com has become a strong asset to the organization both fiscally, and as a strong Canadian destination website.
